Walter Onderka was born 04.06.1950 in Berchtesgaden and went to primary
school in Steinhausen near Bad Schussenried.
He made an apprenticeship as a painter and varnisher and graduated with
an apprenticeship diploma; Second apprenticeship as an interior
decorator. Onderka made the master craftsman diploma as a painter. From 1971
on he worked in a studio for scientific restoration in Tübingen with
Prof. Dr. Ingenhoff. He was entrusted with restoration projects like the
Minster Zwiefalten, Düsseldorfer Schloss Benrath and many other objects
in Oberschwaben and Baden Württemberg.
Since 1981 Onderka worked as a freelance artist and restaurateur in Tübingen,
Saulgau and Lindau. He developed his very personal artistic expression.
He designed public and economic areas, object and buildings, with his
own artistic style of stuccowork.

Tübingen : Weinstube Forelle, Gasthof
Steinhausen: Gasthof and Cafe Schmid
Lindau: Hotel Helvetia, Hotel Bad Schachen and Schachen Schlössle
Bad Saulgau: Gasthof Bohnenstengel, Interior and exterior design and
stucco work.
